All of the above but first and foremost - it's the perceived dysfunctional culture of the organization. |

Right now I think it's a combination of the owner & GM. |

If you in your crazy twisted mind don't think that Charles Wang and his minions don't have anything to do with the circus like perception that surrounds and at this points drowns this team, then I don't know what to tell you. That man is a curse on this franchise and has single handily destroyed what small amount of credibility they had (which may have been none already). Players want two things when they sign up for a new team..
1. Money
2. Winning
The Isles sure don't win and if players are hesitant about taking your money then its the GM's job to convince them to do so. It is beyond pathetic the excuse making machine the franchise has become and even worse are the fans who are so brainwashed by this team they fail to reconize how pathetic this whole operation has become.
The NHL should do us all a favor and just put this fanbase out of their misery at this point |

There's really no need for it. It might have been funny when it first happened but now it's just annoying. |

I think Garth Snow should be relieved of his duties. This started to become apparent when he signed Dipietro to that ridiculous deal but he has continued to make mistakes by going after Ryan Smythe when it was apparent there was no way he was going to re-sign with them. But the worst was the Vanek trade because Moulson is a pretty damn good player that would have stayed with the Islanders if Snow didn't burn that bridge. Snow is one of the main reasons the islanders rarely make the playoffs |

Snow sucks I want him fired four yrs ago but Wang took responsibility for dipietro(snow actually reportedly tried to advise him against it) and moulson is not a good player. |

The fact that the Isles are not in the West means they have a shot to make the playoffs, like every other team in the conference Good luck, would be a nice momentum boost before the season ticket push in Brooklyn |

Very interesting that Cappy has to go quickly if things go bad and no mention of the GM. Funny how some always want to protect the GM and throw the coach under the bus that the same GM hired. |

She mentions benching tavares and Okposo but never mentions snow. No, its not the gm's fault the guy that hired the coach she's saying to fire if need be |

The Isles need a true rebuild. Commit to it and don't try to rush it. Change the culture from within and the free agents will come. |

It seems the Sablanders are seeing separation between a rising Sabres and a falling Islanders. Why? The new GM in Buffalo. It is amazing that the Sabres still suck but everyone is so optimisitic because we now have Tim Murray running the show. A littel advice - get rid of Snow. |

8 years in with great young players and prospects, terrible coach and a GM who doesn't make moves and a wingnut owner. There's changes needed but not starting from scratch. |
