Kessel. I'd doubt Georges would waive for the Leafs after the whole him vs McClaren, Orr and Borque incident. He seemed pretty pissed at the time. |

very confused as to what Montreal is going to do. we hear lots of talk about players leaving (Vanek, Gionta, Gorges, Weaver--that's 4 of our top 18 skaters), but not a peep as to who might be coming to Montreal. cannot see Iginla signing here unless Montreal's offer blows everyone else's out of the water. |

I don't even know why EE mentioned Price...we (and every other NHL team's management) saw how well that worked out for the canucks and Luongo...
Plus, a goalie (a star one at that) is already in some way a leader on his team...there's no need to name him captain... Price is part of any leadership group by default.
I also think Gallagher is too young to be named captain, and the style of play doesn't lend itself to being a captain...I'd say PK if he toned down some antics...Markov would be my first choice if he wanted it. Not sure about Plek as he might be moving too...but if the organization names him C, you have to figure it's because he's not moving... |

i don't think Plekanec. he's never even been named an assistant. Markov i don't think would want it because i don't see him wanting to deal with he media responsibilities. Price.. agree. goalies as captains is a stupid idea. Gallagher? come on. i don't see a ton of options really. Subban seems to be the best fit but is he ready for that? |
