Sure move Franson.
Taking on more cap money also means Reimer is gone....too expensive for a back up.

I'd still like them to go after Ernhoff to partner with Phaneuf.

Unless they are planning on playing Reilly or Gards with Phaneuf, which makes no sense cause you're still using Phaneuf wrong, then they need to get some to play with him.

it's not the getting of Gorges, it's the getting rid of Snowshoes Franson

We have Gardiner, Rielly and supposedly Phaneuf for that.

Do you think that's the problem? Rielly, gardiner, Gunnarason and sometimes franson can move the puck well. What's the problem is how easily Toronto gets pushed of the puck in there own end or losing puck battles in the corner all the time.

Honestly I think he's going to play wherever he wants to go I don't think money is going to his major motivator. If he wants to come here he might sign for less just to help a team out.

i don't see how Franson is a fit going the other way but i could be wrong. Montreal is looking hard for a top-6 winger. i could see Gorges for Lupul. Montreal gets the better player but Toronto fills a need by dealing from a strength and saves a bit of money.

Here's the problem. Sure Gardiner and Rielly can skate the puck or make that first pass out, however knowing Carlyle he'll refer to Polak-Gleason as his "shut down pair" and therefore hemming us in our end for infinity and beyond.
