Ribero should go back to the Caps. He did really well playing for them. Caps could get him cheap!

Damn. Coyotes management has some balls. I wish the Jets could find their's and buy out Pavelec.

did they compliance buy him out

Did you even bother to read the blog?

Furthermore, the downside of the buy-out is that you have to keep the player on the books for several years (because this is not a compliance buy-out; Ribeiro signed after the new CBA and so is exempt) but the Coyotes will not be affected by this because they don't spend to the cap, so they probably won't mind having a lower cap-hit for Ribeiro for a longer time. (According to Capgeek.com Ribeiro will a $1.9 cap hit until 2020)

He must've really pissed Maloney off for him to say behavioral issues! And the tweet from Sarah McLellen saying Ribeiro is getting help? Whatever IT is, good luck. Three kids to think about.

Chicago? Boston? Calgary. I could see him landing in any of those places.

When I met Mike Ribeiro he was a real d**k.... and that was even before he was an NHLer. He thinks a lot of himself and has always had a very poor attitude. They find that out fast everywhere he signs.

I'd rather we were above speculating about gossipy stuff. If he needs help, he'll get help, whatever. 7% of people have addiction problems and this includes people in the NHL, nothing to see here basically.

Personally, I don't know why Maloney would even start this, just say that he was bad at hockey and not worth the money. It's not like that would be a lie.

Not surprised that news came out of MTL. They couldn't wait to unload him. He was out of control with the Citadelles.

Maloney definitely franked up when he signed this guy and let Boyd Gordon walk. At least he has the stones to admit it, and correct it.

hey james.

would spezza for murphy and samuelsson be realistic deal.

not sure which prospects are "untouchable" in your system.

maybe sens throw in a conditional pick if spezza doesn't re-sign (guess would have to be 2016 pick, as he doesn't become a UFA until after 2015 draft)

I think that would be a good trade for both teams, but I am doubting Spezza will come to the desert. Maybe Maloney should woo him.
