I really like this kid and am happy with that contract, he plays fast and hard. I think he will continue to get better.

Edit two of the triple post.

I want Sustr resigned, I also really like that kid and he should be with the Bolts and not the Crunch.

Three more RFA's to sign (3 that are with resigning). Looks as though he has been in contact with some pending UFA defenseman, but won't say who.

Hoping for a Sustr deal soon.

As for Panik... I hope it's a two-way deal. Not sold on him as of yet.

That kid has potential, for sure. We'd be foolish to let him go.

If Panik could get his head on straight he could be great, coming out of the AHL everyone though he would be the best of TJ and Palat. I hope we do resign him and give him some more time to figure it out.

Absolutely. Panik has the size and skill to be a power forward.

I hope he gets it together and doesn't end up being akin to Chris Gratton- All the tools, but no toolbox

well this makes me feel a little better about callahan. id take panik at 800k and 850k for two years. or give him a little more but do a two-way deal. his development gets stunted when he sits or plays 4th line. i think either keep him on the bolts out of camp or keep him in the AHL all year. his confidence goes down when he doesnt make the cut. could be a ryan malone in his prime type player if he put everything together.

Have to assume Niskanen is one. Stralman another. But no idea.

Intriguing. Hadn't even considered that. I can't say either way. My gut would say no, but I suppose a phone call couldn't hurt.

I'd say no also it looks like today steve yzerman is looking into the trade route for defense based on his comments.

Well, that'd be ideal. But, like he said, it's difficult to do.
