I'd rather see Stastny in a Blackhawk jersey than Kesler, but even if we dump Sharp's salary in a trade for picks and prospects, I'm not sure that they can afford to sign him.

I've heard from people around the Ducks org that he's their number 1 target. Even more than Kesler and Spezza. This could definitely be an interesting week.

I am starting to worry if this "structure" is going to hurt the Avs in the long run. I understand why they are doing it, but if we lose our talent each year we are going to be looking up at a lot of clubs

Cant see him on the Ducks. He would have to leave the exact same kind of money on the table that he would to resign with teh Avs to fit under the cap system.

If he doesnt resign I think its Blues, Rangers, and mention by another Avs guy...Dallas as the destinations

Draft one of the Sams (or Draisaitl worst case). Gives them another year to develop, then you can run a Stast/Mony/#4 this year 1-2-3 punch.

As I said, don't see it happening but if he wants the $$$, could be a possibility.

Poile is pretty obsessed with Team USA. With Lavy here too now, I would expect him to throw a respectable offer his way. One at least that is more than the Avs can match.

An amount of money that would make him consider Nashville, yet an amount that is way too much for him to be earning. Perhaps "an amount attractive for the player" would have been the correct phrasing. I can see Poile offering 7 mil for at least 5 years.

Flames are getting ready to back up the money truck for this guy, they seem to just love Centers from Colorado hahaha.... Stastny, Monahan, Backlund, Stajan down the middle next year.
