I would think that Kesler is a better option for the Ducks than Spezza. The price is probably significantly higher for Kesler though. |

First, Florida isn't really a playoff destination. Vinnie is still a big name and could help put butts in the seats and there is still reason to believe that he can still be an effective player. Plus the Panthers still need to get to the cap floor.
But yeah, if we can give him up for 'future considerations', that's a win in my book.
The issue is not whether a team would want him. Just that is there a team he would want to go to that would want him. If his family wants to get back to the sunshine state, this is a good move.
It would cheese off Lightning fans though. |

Vinnie to the Oilers. You heard it here first. Fills Oilers need for a big 2nd line center, who can take faceoffs, control the puck, and score 20-30 goals. Gagne can play 3rd line or buy a bus ticket out of town. |
