I would bring in a cheap veteran D (bottom 6) just incase, as for Mcheliney they know he won't be asking alot,he got it done when Bob was out for 2 months and as a result pretty much held us at .500 just enough for the big push.

I'm good with Nikitin, Comeau, Schultz walking. Hopefully they get Skille for cheap, would like to see Tropp back too.

Nikitin was incredible in the post season and did the job in the regular, that might be a though pill to swallow, all will depend on if Prout can pick up his physical game.

Like the Portzline article indicated, Jarmo is giving the keys to the kids. It will be interesting to see if it continues to work like it did this year, with a healthy mix of vets and young guns, now mostly young guns

I like Nikitin, but I think he's going to be one of the most overpaid FA defensemen on the market. I'd like to keep him, but not for the money he's going to be offered elsewhere.

If there is any kind of addition to the forward group guys like Comeau, Tropp, Frattin need to go to make some room. I'd like to keep DMAC at 2 years 3 Mil total, he's an ideal 4th liner and shouldn't demand much salary. I pray to God a top 6 wing is added somehow, there a few options in FA to fill this need. Skille is the toughest decision in my opinion, I doubt there is any way he accepts another 2 way deal.

I have an awful feeling we are going to try to sign Callahan. While I like the player, and think he fits the CBJ style of play perfectly, if he gets 5-6 mil per year on a long term deal I could see his contract being an albatross in 2-3 years, especially with his injury history.
