I would swap Marchand for Kane, adding in spare parts needed to complete the deal. I certainly dont think you would need to include Boychuk into that deal. To open up more money you could buyout or trade Kelly and let Thornton walk and fill that role in-house.
This is all just spitballin |

TSN was mentioning Boychuck could be shipped out for Cap relief as well. Any rumblings about that or is that all TSN insider trading speculation? |

What about a deal involving subban boychuck for Kane ? Then deal Marchand fir someone who could slot into a top 4 D? |

I mean, I'd lean towards it being speculation. There's really nobody in the pipeline that's ready to step into that role. They'll cut up front -- thinking Kelly's contract or even Campbell's to a lesser degree -- before they ditch a defenseman, in my opinion. |

Maybe there could be something worked out with the Isles 5th overall for Boychuk. Hell..I'd take Marchand too if it worked. |

PAP, McGinn, McLeod, Wilson, D Prospect Elliott, are the kind of pieces I can see the Avs being active with to try and bring in a Dman.
McGinn, Elliott, and a draft pick (2nd or 3rd), for Boychuk and a kicker? Kelly or Campbell for salary reasons? |

Jets are good for goalies in the system. Don't think Subban would seal the deal. Maybe a 2nd rounder (we don't one have this year because of the Seto deal).
Boychuk, Marchand and a pick for Kane is intriguing... I really like Boychuk - but he's a UFA next summer. I like Marchand too, when he's on his game. Dunno... don't think Chevy pulls the trigger on this one, unless they have a pre-meeting and Boychuk agrees to an extension, right off the hop. |

I think the Bruins could get a better deal elsewhere for Boychuk. There are quiet a few bottom feeders who could use a legitimate #2/3 defender. |

No (frank)ing way do you move Boychuck. A defense 1st system and you move one of your better guys with no replacement for a kid with a bad rep? Kane will do what exactly? Get frustrated when Julien benches his ass and cramps his offensive style by making him play defensively? Why not trade and get Seguin back then? |

Who do the jets have for future goalies ?
Agreed on the extension with boychuck ...the peg is a tough sell so players under contract are a must |

I think so too, but those are the pieces I think will be active for the Avs in the trade market. Avs arent deep enough in the prospect pools to move major roster players. McGinn would be an ideal Bruin, wouldnt want to lose him but Avs need to bring in a Top 4 guy and hes the best non core forward trading bait that we have |

what makes you say that. They locked up every core guy...Wheeler, Ladd, Kane, Bogo, Little, Enstrom while they were in Jets uniforms. I dont think players have an issue signing there long term. |

I like McGinn a lot but he lacks the offensive pop the Bruins would need back in a swap for Boychuk. The Bruins already have big bodied wingers in Soderberg, Lucic and most likely Iginla again. They would benefit more from a speedier winger with natural finishing ability. A Gaborik type player. |
