There were a few others who disappointed, but didn't have near the hype or prestige so I omitted going on a long rant about them.

Kaapo Kähkönen one of the most intriguing goalies was pretty pedestrian, had massive troubles with rebounds.

Noah Rod was a complete hot head, I'd take him easily in the second+ rounds for the upside, but man he takes some dumb dumb dumb penalties. Never seen somebody try to trip guys for no reason as much as him. Got away with so much I'm kind of stunned he only ended with 22 PIMS, definitely pest material.

Tuch, because he never lost his form, he just doesn't score without his uber elite linemates. He does everything else pretty well though.

Yikes - good eye opener

While I'm not necessarily implying this with kapanen as I have never seen him play or with any data, but sometimes I wish politics were taken out of hockey.

A lot of these sons of nhlers will go all the way due to name more than skill. Sure they have genetics and bloodlines on their side but sometimes you wonder throughout minor hockey if they keep off a player more talented who could develop into a better player against better competition, but they don't have the name.

I kept saying if the oilers moved down to 8ish, look at perlini. Not anymore. Never followed him much just read he has size speed and a shot.

Tuch was also intriguing to me, but having no awareness would scare me. Isn't that kind of Biggs problem?

Also, heard Ross McLean on iss talk a bout draisaitls consistency, is that much more "teachable" than compared to perlinis issues? Some say consistency issues can be overcome with maturity.

The Rod!

He is one of the younger players in the draft?

Bloodlines will get you drafted and it does kind of suck. I might write a bit about MacInnis who had a really bad season and hasn't really been anything special his whole life, but people keep putting him in the late first early second because his dad was a beast. Same with Lemieux and Quenneville, both solid players, but neither brings anything particularly special to be in the first round other than famous families, if they were Jack Smith and Sean Nobody they would probably not even get anywhere close to the same recognition.

I also have a bad feeling Tretiak will get drafted earlier in 2015 because of his grandpa, he certainly hasn't been great for Russia, yet they keep going back to him in these international tourneys (though it is Russia to be honest and aside from Vasilevski they haven't produced too many good goalies lately).

Adrian Kempe is the young guy in this one. Interesting player, Swedish power forward.

Also in this tourney there was a 2016 eligible guy (I think, his b-day is so late September he's either the youngest guy in 2015 or a 2016 guy) Auston (seriously an "o" in Austin?) Matthews for the USA, kid is pretty nuts. One to watch for then.

This is where losing all those 2nd round picks hurt, you can go for it and take that chance for a possible big reward down the road.

Sometimes. Kempe should be gone by the mid first though...then again I really thought Teravainen would go before 12 so...

So is it safe to say that Tuch is more like a Brian Boyle or Paul Gaustad.

Maybe, he's not really a defensive wizard though nor a centre. He seems more like Troy Brouwer or Bickell to me though, mainly because without the top linemates he doesn't score, but putting him with them he's a solid complimentary guy that does some hard work and lays some big hits.

but hes described him completely different than what ive seen of him live, and on tv and what i've read. seems to make it sound like hes making plays. as you said, he seems to wait for others to make plays and he feeds off his snapper/one-timer. hes good at getting open and getting that shot off (it is lethal) but is that all he is?
