Fun read and a great perspective from an outside fan and former player. When I grew up we used to drive up to Quebec for family things and into Montreal for fun. I watched my first Habs game in the old forum when I was 10 or so, it was against the Nordiques, and it was so lively and exciting I immediately became a fan for life.

Side note, I agree the Bar-B-Barn is great, it was often a diner stop for us when we were in town; Dunn's is great, but often when I want a Sandwich I am usually going to head over to Schwartz's deli... the walk/cab fare is worth it to me.

Agreed - for the dirt and the noise. Then head to Lester's, which is cleaner, quieter and better.

Is Dunn's deli still downtown? was a staple for late night food

Nice read, Marshy.

But to settle the fights breaking out here, the Schwartzs'/Dunns/(snickers) Lester's argument is simply this: It's all preference based on habit. I've been going to Dunn's my whole life, it's where my folks went. They all have their merit. SOLVED

I had breakfast and got 2 hours of work done at Dunn's last Sunday. $6.50 with tax and tip!
