But you don't show his recent World stats where he played very very well. Looked like a NHL goalie to me. Another missed opportunity for Snow.

The kid did not play well in the nhl last year. Clearly not ready. He is not ready for the big time. He demanded he play in the nhl or he was leaving. Im no fan of snow but to say he missed an opportunity bcs he didnt want to lose games and points bcs Nilsson demanded he play in the nhl is short sighted. What was snow supposed to do? Play a goalie who wasnt ready all season bcs he refused to play in the ahl and perfect his game? Snow would have been a moron if he did what nilsson wanted.

Dee, you do realize Pokka was playing in the Finnish league against men while the others were facing competition their own age right? Also do you understand there is more to prospects than stats especially D-men? And being that you are a writer for a hockey blog, you must have taken the time to look up his performance at the world championship? Amazing. Reminds me of the Kyle Wellwood for D fiasco.

The Worlds are a different style of game played, plus like another poster just mentioned.
The kid demanded to play NHL or nothing, he hasn't been healthy in 2yrs and needs more time to develop but has the audacity to proclaim an NHL roster spot.........

Under no circumstances should a kid demand a roster spot w/o proving nothing. But at least we still have his rights

How she is still allowed to blog is hilarious. By far the worst on this site and that is saying a lot. Why do research when you can just embarrass yourself over and over and over again

Islanders are taking dal colle I'm guessing if Calgary doesn't at 4. Would you guys agree as the islanders prospect depth at wing doesn't compare to your C or D depth?

We are super deep on D and center is starting to thin out now that Nelson and Strome have graduated. Besides goal tending, wing is most likely our worst area in terms of prospects IMO.

Griff plays excellent D, was the captain of his team that won the WHL cup and the memorial cup and was the playoff MVP. He didn't light the lamp a ton but he barley played on the PP because he was used so heavily against other teams top lines. His team also used a lot of forwards on their power play which hurt his point production as well. He has excelled as a defensive player but it remains to be seen if he can put up points at the pro level.

Honestly they need him to be a shutdown defender. I don't care if he puts up 10 points a year. Can't wait to watch him next year

Yes if they don't package the pick in a trade I would think they take a wing
