Personally, i could do without the spears to the groin, but thats just me.

If he wants to do it legally like challenge him to a fight
or
Get in his face and take a 2 min for retaliation I am fine with that.

Spearing is unacceptable in any facet. The idea that Zemgus is willing to do whatever it takes to win, is worrisome if he resorts to these antics. I do hope that his never-say-die attitude is not including these incidents now.

I do think that Zemgus, minus this incident, is everything that we need in a player. If he can collect his emotions to prevent spearing incidents and other "poor-sport" attitudes, we should be in great shape.

But, he played a clean, hard, physical game all season with no problems. A little emotion is good every now and again.

Spearing is bullpoop. I hope Nolan would be saying I don't mind you getting suspended for sticking up for a teammate or making a big borderline hit, but spearing is childless, cowardly and just pathetic.

Now if we could just get Mats Zuccarello off the Rangers! Man I love watching him play!

HE had a great season, which seems strange that he did this, I can only imagine, it is because it is World Championships and figured giving a Russian a bit between the legs was ok ? Is this somehow got something to do with Ukraine/Russia ? Latvia for all intense purpose are kind of an ally right ? I mean there are U.S troops landing on Latvian soil.

I agree with this. I am just saying that I hope this isn't getting added to his game permanently. He has had a great season and maybe it was a one-off reaction, which I believe it is.

Girgensons is used to losing faceoffs, he was 41% this year for Sabres, the guy is nothing special, just a 3rd line guy with stone hands, sub part skating and zero faceoff ability.
