That is a pass. 6-million third line center that didn't want to play third fiddle in the Crosby/Malkin deal. Sutter is a very capable third line center when you give him good wingers. Pyatt and Glass for most of the year doesn't make you a good center.

Pass on getting Staal back. That, along with Letang might be two of the worst contracts in hockey.

Um... can you trade Eric Staal and keep Jordan Staal? Doubtful. If Jordan only wanted to be a top 2 centerman, he would have insisted on going to Toronto where he'd be the #1 centerman for the foreseeable future. He wanted to be with big brother.
