If there are only 4 players in the NHL you would trade Strome for you either grossly over rate his potential or are not willing to try very hard to improve this Hockey Club. |

I see Lee/Pokka/Pulock/Donovan to be the players traded over Strome in this offseason.
Obviously we would need to add a bit more to the "Strome" package if we made that substitution. |

Strome will be better than RNH, book it |

Good write up, what are you thoughts on Hickey staying on the Island as a regular?
And it would be interesting to see what kind of an offer they would put together for Subban, I feel like the Isles would have a lot of pieces that would interest MTL...not saying they would be moving him |

Hickey is a legit NHL bottom pairing defensemen on any team in this league. He may be small but position wise he is excellent. Only player with a positive +- on the Isles this season |

There is next to nothing that suggests you are right, and if that is your opinion, Fair enough...but is that the argument? What he is saying is that Strome is better or provides a brighter future than all but 4 players in the NHL. If he is correct, that is outstanding for you guys.

Nice, love watching him play, never thought he got a fair shake out in LA, good to see him land in a spot where he gets some ice time and given a good chance |

would the Islanders have any interest in Edler? If so, what would the islanders be willing to move for him?
also, Edler does have a NTC, but for the purposes of this, lets assume that he has waived it. |

I think what he is referring to, out of the players that are stars there are probably only 4 available.

Strome played his 2nd stint in the NHL after the Olympics with Matt Martin and Colin Mcdonald and played at a .8ppg pace. That is incredible; Martin and Mcdonald are terrible offensively. |

Isles on of my favorite teams. How come everyone talks about recycled dmen why not a young dman with upside? The ahl defensman of the year can help someone more then the names being thrown around now. If they were any good there own teams would have held on to them |

He will be good, no doubt, but I think RNH is and will always be a somewhat superior player. |

Based on Charles/Garth's track record we can be assured that things won't change and next year will be an extension of this year...but wait the only true value off season move would be the sale of the team...otherwise don't expect much from the Charles/Garth circus. |

My point is he shouldn't be moved for a forward or goalie.. Only for a stud dman |

Of course I would trade him for many forwards in this league but that is a lateral move. I would not move for Evander Kane.. That doesn't make the team better. |

Nor would I. And I agree with your previous point, If I were the Islanders, and I was looking to use Strome as a trade Chip, I would go after a top pair D-Man. |

Have there been any rumblings of the Islanders wanting to move Bailey? I mean both the Oil and Islanders need that top pair Dman, but what about swapping forwards that need a desperate change of scenery?
Would a Gagner for Bailey swap make sense? Gagner can play RW as well as centre and considering you guys have a bit different of a dynamic in your top 6, do you think it could work? I think Gagner playing with bigger players like Lee or Nelson will help.

The cost would probably be Strome, one of the blue chip defensive prospects, and either a draft pick or another roster player
Pass. I'd rather we add a #3 or #4 than deal away Strome AND Reinhart or Pulock let alone including an additional player or pick. |
