While I agree that Lindback has had nice moments in the series, and the numbers back this up, what the numbers don't show is that Lindback has allowed a goal per game that he'd like to have back and all of them have come at bad times in the games. Not saying it's his fault, but to suggest he's not part of the problem might be a stretch too IMO. |

I agree that he's let in a bad goal in each of the games. But for each bad goal he's let in, he's made two incredible saves that nobody would expect him to make.
If we replayed this series with Bishop in net instead of Lindback, I don't think it makes a difference given the way the skaters are playing. |

As good as Bishop has been/is, I think it would be hard to expect him to make some of the ridiculous desperation saves that Lindback has lucked out on. |

I don't know mike I think the habs are really pressing on lindback and that was the game plan to rattle him. I'm not sure they would be pressing like this on ben bishop. |

I don't think their game plan changes, but that's just my opinion. |

Dont think tampa can match terms with other teams who needs defense. Signing niskanen for 5yrs/30 mill doesn't really fit with the group we have in Hedman/carle/gudas/sustr/kostka/barberio and brewer. Also koekkoek in the minors. We made our big Ufa signing in Carle, one that hasn't exactly paid out in diamonds. |

They can't go into next season with the same core they have this season. Niskanen is young enough to play through his prime with whoever signs him. |

got to agree with mike I think yzerman is going to try for niskanen. Or he will make a trade for a defenseman. They can afford niskanen malone buyout 4.5 gone! salo 3.8 gone. I think they can afford callahan and niskanen if they buyout malone and trade teddy purcell. our pipe line is full of forward prospects! are defense is not niskanen is more of a need then callahan. brewer is in his last year for his contract next year also so payroll wise we are not really that bad we have the room. |

with the koekkoek injury again I don't think yzerman is counting on him for next year! and his long term future is in question. |

Koekkoek will almost undoubtedly need time in the AHL, I'd think. |

Gut tells me that Callahan won't be back. He's going to want a lot of money, and I'm not sure that he's shown enough to warrant it. You never know. I like a lot of what he brings, but not at $6MM+. If he could be signed for $5.5MM, I'd be all over it. But after he rejected six from NYR, I'm not sure why he'd accept less from TBL. |

I don't know what the Yzer-plan will be this summer quite honestly. I think the team would legitimately like to re-sign Callahan, but I feel like Callahan's contract demands will likely get in the way. Yzerman has shown a dislike bidding wars. |

I don't see what callahan's options are ? Rangers- no that bridge has closed. Buffalo ? yes if he wishes not to make the playoffs for the next 3 years his prime years! Islanders ? not unless charles wang sells that team. I think Tampa Bay is his best bet for a good contract maybe the redwings as a sleeper ? |
