The mindset should be "okey, now we need to win 2 games in Montreal, luckily we have two chances right away". It has happened before! (Weren't we down 0-2 against Pens in '11?)

Nope. Down 1-3.

EDIT - Were down 0-2 in 2003 against Washington.

There's been alot of talk on how Mtl will face the pressure of playing in Mtl, but I'm wondering how the relatively young Tampa team will react to the atmosphere at the Bell Center. it can be quite intimidating (maybe not Orange Crush intimidating) for players who haven't experienced it.

I think that's a fair point. What I'd argue though is that the Bolts are essentially playing with house money now. They've got nothing to lose. Montreal has a lot to lose. Nobody expects Tampa to come back and win this series based on what we've seen so far.

And statistically speaking... they won't!

I get the same feeling in 2003 the fans were pissed media on the lightning! And we roared back vs Washington! Really the pressure is all on Montreal and price to win this series! If Montreal loses what a media hell they will face.

The big difference in 03 is you had Marc Bergevin on your team...

Exactly they should be alot looser tonight plus it would nice to have a couple PP's to work off of once in awhile.

I really disagree that they don't have anything to lose... Like Stuart wrote, going down 0-3 is so much worse than 1-2 and I think that pressure can be pretty huge. If Tampa was up 2-0 then they could have that pressure-free feeling at the bell centre.
True the crowd will absolutely nuts and intimidating at first for the rookies, but if Tampa can suffocate the game in the first and slow everything down, it could then turn the pressure on Mtl. Especially if they can play their usual hard forechecking style on mtl's defense

Man a 2nd OT win with the day off in MTL tomorrow and a 3-0 lead in round one will create chaos in the city!!! Hahahaha what a show that would be!

But what would be worse is a decisive victory by Tampa with Price giving up 3 or 4 then having to listen for the next two days to your media. Hahahaha what a show that would be

Hahahahahaha good point! Funny thing is: there really isn't much difference between the two haha. Regardless there will likely be fires tonight, couple of vandalized cruisers and the media will be talking about it until game 4 steals the attention and it all happens again! Hopefully the religious easter weekend will keep things a little civilized but I doubt it lol

What for a first round game. Maybe for the finals but if that that's just ridiculous.

Hahaha ya agreed. Game 3 probably won't cause chaos I was kidding around more than anything but I wouldn't be too surprised if fans were just happy to have a good playoff show from the habs compared to last year's brutal series against Ottawa. Montréal won't let that go until we do the same to someone else... Hopefully you guys, sorry buddy

Hopefully not no one is laying down so some town can have closure on a series last year that is ridiculous as well. why cause chaos when they can find the odd leaf fan to harass instead of burning cars.

Of course it's rediculous! Alot of them are probably just opportunists that wanna create chaos for the hell of it, kinda like that tuition strike a couple of summers ago (which was absolutely pathetic) and stuff like that... It's definitely dumb.

Hopefully we get some exciting games and they keep both fan bases on the edge of their seat. This series will be great for both franchises... It's a shame for Tampa but you guys would be so much more dangerous at the Bell centre with st louis! I'm thanking the stars he asked for a trade!!!

Geez Arty, I think you're being a little harsh on him. We all know how it feels, remember when Roy asked to be traded from Montreal? Management make irrational decisions that force players to ask to be traded.

There's no doubt the lightning would be a better team with him in the line-up.
