Cup check......that's funny right there (the term is funny not the act). I was watching the vid and I was cringing doing shoulder shrugs about a second apart.

Truly a fantastic game but an absolutely disgusting and dumb move by lucic.

Ugh, just hideous. Put a sour note om the whole game and honestly at this point when will he learn?

I hope the rest of the games are just as entertaining but lucic should be punished for such a cowardly act. God that looked painful. My testes have been in my throat since I saw it.

a slash is just part of the game... but this is way beyond that. this is a complete lack of respect for another human being. if this isn't predatory, I don't know what is.

I really doubt if NHL suspends him, but they should.
NHL should come up with a most cowardly act player award every year, and I bet Lucic would qualify for that award almost every year.

I agree, great blog (like always) by Ty. Long term issues is always a risk with injuries to that area. Man I can still like feel it in my gut. He practically lifted right off the ground. Ugh.

Tough one Bs fans! Datsyuk remains a world class player and they make those kinds of plays. At least your team wasn't thoroughly embarrassed by an arch-rival in game 1!
