It would be a much different playoff race without the shootout and if I were a New Jersey fan I'd be pissed with an 0-11 record in the shootout being the difference of being a playoff contender.

AGREE completely!
This team's biggest problem is inconsistency (except for the power play-which is nearly always bad). The coach might be the 1st big change...and only significant one necessary!
