So...do Leafs fans want to win or lose?

Riddick Bowe vows to come out swinging if Leafs lose to Philly

EDIT - (Had to fix that. 'RidRichard' just wasn't right.)

I do too. Up at 6 AM, off to the game, home around 11, and then my turn to stay up with the 4-month-old. I could really use a win.

The Maple Leafs bring a six-game losing streak into tonight's match, which has put their playoff hopes in jeopardy.

Let's make it 7, please! Nothing better than pushing Toronto further from the playoffs and watching Leafs fans cry.

I'd love to KO the Leafs' playoff chances tonight... but JvR and the Leafs haven't exactly rolled over for them over the past couple of seasons.

On the Flyers' opening night, Oct. 2, Peter Laviolette coached what would prove to be his final home game behind the Philadelphia bench

It just sounds weird, ya know.

I skimmed right over that. McGinn on 2 and Raffl on 3. Huh.

If we're going to throw McGinn up on the 2nd line, why not bring up Akeson?

Were these the lines at practice or is this just wishful thinking?

MJL may have a heart attack.

The lines at practice according to D Isaac:

Dave Isaac ‏@davegisaac 12m
Flyers lines: 19-28-93; 15-10-17; 24-14-12; 36-40-18

I'm sure Holmger is ecstatic with his UFA-prize on the fourth line. Reactions?

Edit: And according to Bill, Read on LW and Raffl on RW.

19 Scott Hartnell - 28 Claude Giroux - 93 Jakub Voracek
15 Tye McGinn - 10 Brayden Schenn - 17 Wayne Simmonds
24 Matt Read- 14 Sean Couturier - 12 Michael Raffl
36 Zac Rinaldo - 40 Vincent Lecavalier - 18 Adam Hall

Basically, this says to me that the "Vinny at Wing" thing failed and they recognize it.

I like Vinny, want to see him succeed, but the fact is, he won't sniff the top 6 again unless someone gets hurt.

I worry about this. But, I'm hoping the Rangers loss is under their skin, and they keep their heads screwed on properly tonight.

Same. We all know they will shift around during the game, but maybe Chief is letting Vinny know he needs to find another gear. Or he's hoping plugging Vinny into C will spark him, even if it's with Hall and Rinaldo. Raffl helps that line generate some offense, maybe Vinny can too?

I'm a big fan of the "Art Ross" Akeson jokes, but yeah. Why not at this point.

Based on the morning skate, the Flyers are likely to feature different forward line combinations tonight than in recent games. See the projected lineups below, which are of course subject to change.

Sure. It can't/won't hurt, for sure.

The money they are spending on him, though, is not commensurate with a 4th line center.
