Skinner, because of his past performance, his young age & his very reasonable salary.

If you are trading Eric Staal, you may as well deal his brother too. That is the only reason he wanted to play in Carolina.

That said, Pittsburgh could use Skinner the most of the three.

I would absolutely love to have a guy like Eric Staal on the Habs. He is the big elite centerman that they've needed since Bobby Smith left. That said, there's about 20 other teams that could also use the guy. I definitely don't see the Canes selling low. They will get a boat load of players and prospects for either of those forwards.

skinner obviously has the most upside and reasonable cap hit, his only problem is he is 1 or 2 good head shots from being out of the league. he's had at least 4 concussions over the past 3 years so he is a risk for whomever tries to pick him up. staal would fit nicely in montreal but I don't know if the habs have what the canes want. it would have to start with subban and a #1 plus more. i don't think rutherford will be calling the shots here he'll quietly step down and possibly be replaced by ron francis or perhaps they'll go out of the organization for a gm. mueller is probably toast.

When you spend the season talking about how your leading goal scorer should be on the 3rd line, that's a good sign there are problems with him fitting in. Don't know who the player in return should be, but a lateral move that brings in someone who can play with at least one Staal seems like it'd make sense.

Stall isn't going anywhere, they got Jordan for them to play together.. How that makes sense to anyone is beyond me

skinner for bennett, despres, 2015 3rd rounder. pens wouldn't be able to resign jokinen. other teams might... might... beat that offer... but maybe not. both canes fans and pens fans would hate that

I'd love to have Eric on the hawks. that cap though
plus with needing to sign kane and toews in two summers it would never happen. and we aren't doing anything wit 12 mil in goalies and we are flooded on the wings

No doubt the Oilers would be interested in any and all of them

Skinner. But... of those three, I think Ward is the one most likely to go.

Good luck fitting E. Staal's contract in along with the $10M that both Toews and Kane will be asking for.

You wont have to worry about Kane...Buffalo will be going after him hard...bring hin back home, and after 2 successive #1 pi ks overall, the base will be there for Sabres to have an effective rebuild like the Hawks did. Enjoy him while you can.

I'm not saying I want him, but I could see Ward end up on the Islanders, he may be an avg goalie now, but that's a huge upgrade on what we have... His injury history is a bit off putting, but if he can stay healthy he would be a welcome addition

keep dreaming buddy...kane is a celebrity in a massive market like chicago and while he still loves his hometown, the hawks are his team and Kane/Toews want to win at least another 2 cups together in the Indian Head. not. gunna. happen.
