The one thing we can say with 100% certainty is Meszaros won't become the billionth player to leave Philadelphia and win a Stanley Cup.

You can take that to the bank. If anyone thinks differently I will give them 1000 to 1 odds on it happening.

I'll take those odds! Boston is the best team in the East. There is a solid chance they make the Cup Finals without much of a problem.

Flyers really need to cash in on their chances. The Blues give up very few chances during the course of a game.

How does Meszaros numbers compare to MacDonald's since the trade deadline?

I don't see anyone in the east beating Boston.. I am interested to see how we stack up against them when we play them before the end of the season..

So you're saying Mez is better than Amac? I don't understand.

Im hoping they put it into full coast mode when the Flyers play them. Flyers are catching many of these top teams at a good time. Most of them have all but wrapped up their spots and are going through the motions.

Asking how someone's numbers stack up against another player is saying Mezsaros is better than MacDonald? That's a pretty big stretch to make that assumption.

I hope Boston's plan should they match up against a healthy Penguins team isn't to play Bergeron against Crosby. Complete mismatch.

I was commenting on your post about giving 1000/1 odds of Boston winning the Stanley Cup. Then you responded with something about comparing Mez and Amac's stats. Im not sure where you're going with all of this.

Our D and team has performed better since we acquired A Mac.. That's all I need to know.. The worry I have is I would like to re sign him.. Mesz was gonna go anyways..It looks great now, but I expect he might wear down and get injured with top pairing minutes.

I'm more concerned with the current roster, too. Thank you, Andrej, for your time in Philly, but the Meszarosian Era here is over.

Until he has a good playoff run and the team signs him back. How did we let this guy go for a 2nd round pick!?

Would you be opposed to moving Grossmann after the season, and bringing Meszaros back on a reasonable deal? I wouldn't.

Really nice test today -- the Blues are probably going to be really sour after Wednesday's thumping on national television, while the Flyers are as hot as any team in the league, with the possible exception of the Bruins, who look unbeatable at the moment.

I'm really looking forward to this one -- win or lose. There are things that the Flyers do well that can give the Blues trouble. I think, if Couturier plays well, that the Flyers' centers could look pretty good against them, and I also think that Jakub Voracek's skillset plays well against them.

That being said, the Blues are big and they hit. They forecheck very well and they separate guys from the puck. The defense...might get hemmed in for extended periods if they don't have outlets to move the puck, or don't move it quickly enough.

All in all, this should be a good game. I hope. I hope two points are on the way!

I wouldn't, mainly because I view Meszaros as a known commodity who, while still an NHL defenseman, is little more than a lateral move.

If the Flyers bring in another defenseman in the offseason, I am truly hopeful that player is a clear upgrade to most, if not all, players we have or have had over the last two seasons.

I wouldn't. There are other players who are more known than Mez. I would rather find someone willing to play defense.
