I'd boo the shat out of Parise if I were a NJ fan. It's what fans do. I'd also be furious with my owner, gm, f.o. for failing to sign him long term or at least trading him when an extension could not be agreed upon.
The only thing I don't like hearing about is the bullpoop "he led us on" argument. If your GM is gullible enough to be led on, he deserves to be fired and should never handle negotiations again. Sorry, I know Lou has done a great job in NJ, but he blew it in regards to Parise. Never expect a player to re-sign because of what you think will happen...either sign the contract or trade the player for assets. He did neither.
