Almost every report indicates that Yzerman's decision played some part in him wanting a trade. If that is true, yes, Marty is acting like a classless baby to an organization and fan base that gave him a chance when everyone else shunned him aside because of his size.

And I hope they don't trade him. I want him to finish his contract in Tampa so that if he decides to keep going, he gets a cheap contract by a team that will stick him on their 3rd or 4th line.

Firstly; Gillis couldn't trade Lou. But it took all of 2 days for him to trade Schneider. So if Kesler wants out and there is any reasonable offer it could happen. Kesler is past his prime.

Secondly; Team Canada paid for Yzermans expenses and Tampa Bay willingly gave him the go ahead to spend his time doing so. Yes there is time taken away from the Lightning but they also get the benefit of having him spend that time with the best management people in the League working with Team Canada.

And St Louis has been a baby before. It's just been over looked. I love how people say player x "is a class act". When what the public mostly sees is just that....and ACT.

Gillis is one of the worst GMs in the business. I wouldn't say a Kesler deal won't happen. He is due to make another dumb move, Gillis that is.
