Wonder what it'd seriously take for Detroit to snag MSL.

What a joke this whole thing...such a classless move by Marty...Tampa ready to make a huge run for the Cup and the "classy" Martin St. Louis, the captain of the team, asks for a trade all because that little (frank)er was picked last at recess ...walking out on your teammates like that is just gutless.

Now knowing that he did actually request a trade... what do you think the chances are that his request is ignored and they keep him? I can't see any situation where trading him is better for the team short term or long term and the team is competing at a high level right now

Why?

Its warm all year round. The fan support is decent and he is making good money with no state income tax. he also gets to play with one of the best young stars in the game.

The guy was the leading scorer in the league last year and the Olympic GM doesn't pick him up? He's your own player and can't fight for him. Marty should go where he's appreciated. Tampa won't get fair value for him.too bad for Steve Yzerman. He screwed himself over.

We don't know what was said between Marty and Yzerman. Maybe he was promised a spot on the team and then he ditched that plan without telling MSL. Lots of factors not know.

Somehow the flyers or rangers trade for st louis and trade for the other significant player lecav or richards and then have the trio reunited

But if they want, the Flyers will gladly offer Lecavlier for MSL. You can have your captain back haha
