You can have my answer now, if you like. My final offer is this: nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally.

What do you guys think the Avs do/dont do come the deadline? i all ready posted my thoughts here
http://avsblogz.blogspot....ze-lifting-at-1200am.html
but to sum it up i think that they may not do much as they are saying.. but at the same time it is Roy, and there are a lot of rumors out there, if he feels he can make a trade, and improve the team for now and the future hes going to push sakic to do it.

they wont be in the market to make bold moves but if the right offer comes a long that Sakic and Roy think makes this team better now and for the long term they wont pass it by.

But unless a deal like that comes around (O'Reilly), you might see just very small minor deals moving around depth guys like Sarich, Wilson, and Mitchell

yeah, i agree for the most part, i dont think they will deal O'reilly, and personally i would not consider trading O'reilly a minor deal . Hopefully they get sarich back and healthy that alone will make a big impact on the D issues i think. If they do get some kind of d help or a vet. presence on the wing that would be nice. I will never be too surprised though if Roy gets something big done for the future as well as now. you know he isnt one to be too bashful, if he thinks he can make a statement i am sure he will. (just not at the cost of the next 10 seasons)

you misread my quote, unless a big deal like an O'Reilly comes along that is too good to pass up, we will just see minor depth or prospect swaps with other teams.

oh, im sorry about that. my bad, thats true, i could see us maybe moving mcginn (think that would be a mistake hes show flashes of a hard nosed play off type player) or possibly wilson or prospects like you said. anyways, sorry about miss reading that, thanks for the clarification.

McGinn wont be traded unless we are trading for a young dman, Dater was mentioning that Kulikov type trades are what the avs would most likely do if they do anything.

No one over 30 for deals. Young guys 23-25 would be the target. Keep young and fast

Hejduk offically retired today. What a career for the Duke. I hope to see number 23 in the rafters one day and him coming back to the Avs in some sort of managerial role.

Too good of a guy not to be apart of the game anymore

I have little to no idea how an olympic break will effect our team. Good mental rest for the squad, great experience for our top players but really....you know there's going to be at least one or two teams that come out of this break flat. Hope it's not us!

The only "shocking" trade I can see the Avs make is moving Stastny at the deadline to a team desperate to upgrade their Top 6, that they are willing to morgage some future

Lets say a team like Montreal comes calling and starts offering Eller and a young dman like Beaulieu. (not saying thats what the package would be just giving an example of young players)

I think Roy and Sakic would think long about a package like that. Getting young players that adds not subtracts to positions on the team.

What's O'Reilly worth as far as trade value? Could O'Reilly for PK subban work ? Both are free agents I believe and we may be able to pay him more because of his position which won't screw up our forward's salary structure. Lot of rumors between habs and avs maybe there is a bigger deal in the works.

Not that I wan't to trade him but what can radar bring back?
