Will we see a mad dash or trades or will prices be too high - ob18
So apparently the Rangers blogger thinks we will be trading Simmonds for Callahan.
No sir, I don't like that idea one bit.

Backström failed his drug test, too. Shame for Sweden that he missed out.

I hated to see the US end up without a medal, but I was glad that Timo ended up with one. At least the time spent wearing him down a bit in Sochi wasn't in vain. |

If the Rangers and Flyers are talking, it's a conversation about Giradi. That I can see happening. |

Based on comments from none other than the great hockey rumor monger Boomer Esiason.

only move i see the flyers making is moving mezaros for a pick, and using gus and gill more. this team is somewhere in the middle of the road and cant give up the moon for players because they will be no further ahead |

Really depends on the pick. If it's just a 4th or 5th round pick for Meszaros. I'd turn that down and keep him. Unless I needed to gain some cap space for another deal. |

I'd look at it as a 4th or 5th to start but I'd have added that the pick improves as the team he goes to advances. But not sure another team would we interested in that part. |

You look into it but out of respect you ask him if he's interested if not you don't move him. |

i didn't watch a single second of the gold medal game. i'll reiterate how much i loathe the break in the schedule, and honestly hope this is the last time the NHL participates. |

I agree. This teams playoff hopes depended on our best but aging defensman. If he cared one iota for the Flyers, he would have skipped the olympics and rested his battered body for one final playoff run. I guess he knows what we all know that the Flyers have no chance this year so he thought of himself instead of his teammates. |

Am I interpreting this correctly? Timonen thinks that the Flyers have no chance, so that's why he went to the Olympics? If that's the case, then I would expect Timonen to ask the Flyers to trade him to a team that has a chance. And continue that selfish behavior. |

I turned it off after Crosby scored. Honestly there was not emotional attachment for me to any of this, maybe a little for Timmo.
World Cup/Canada Cup with pros yes
Olympics for non -professional players
If Gary Bettman and I agree on this HE&& has frozen over |
