Love your poll. Quick's a (frank)ing stud, and that is about all that needs to be said about him.

Was wondering what your thoughts where on a possible deal bringing Richards to NJ. I heard something of it brought up on one of the podcasts that Ek does and wanted to know your thoughts? Apparently Lou and Deboer love Richards but is this all smoke ? and what would that mean for Carter would it leave him pissy? I won't get to far a head of myself so I'll let you have at it.

Doughty has looked like the best player on a really good Canadian team.

He does everything well and makes it look easy.

I would die a little bit to see Richards in a Devils jersey.

It doesn't seem to matter how hard or fast teams come at him his decision making in tight situations is off the charts no amount of pressure can force him into making a play he doesn't want it seems

I bet , But I would love it. I think it would cost to much seeing as you guys moved him for Schenn and Simmonds right ? I think Henrique would have to be the main piece but I don't know what the second would be.

I'm hoping this puts him into the spotlight for the Norris like it did in 2010, and he could win it with his resume. Of course this is assuming they give it to the best D-man, not "the D-man with the most points"

Scott Stevens never won the Norris so I put 0 stock into Subban winning it as he will never get 800 points or be the player Stevens was.

Quick was not the problem... he played great. The US could not score to save their lives.

So far Weber has been the best player hands down.

No more excuse for this team. I'm so sick of watching them play like poop. Quick and Carter can only do so much. Maybe its time to make a statement. Trade Brown, Trade voynov. Something has to change. Maybe its systematic. I really don't know.

With that much talent I'd say it's definitely systematic, you sacrifice offense when you play a strong defensive game that involves collapsing to the net in your own zone. Don't he Kings usually turn it up in the playoffs anyways? I wouldn't worry, but adding anther scorer would be huge.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Andy Greene in a Kings sweater, but that's neither here nor there.

I cannot and I am not blaming Quick. I think Bylsma is more to blame as I think he was out-coached. That being said, you cannot hide behind statistics and say that Quick was God-like because fact of the matter he was outplayed by a couple of goalies who posted shut-outs against him. Don't tell me Quick couldn't score goals. Neither could Bylsma, but his lack of system, plan, and proper playing of players led to the USA coming home empty handed. Price faced 31 shots and won the game for his team. Rask faced a similar fate.

Could Miller have done better? There's no way I can make that claim. But, a goalie change when your team is not firing on all cylinders has the ability to wake your team up. Bylsma didn't even try that. He was too passive and I think it is evident that with the team he has in Pittsburgh, their inability to win repeated Stanley Cups isn't on the team, but on him.

You're right, but you're certainly are trying to imply that.

Quick was not outplayed by other goalies, team USA's offense was outplayed by other defenses.

That's like saying that Russel Wilson outplayed Manning in the SB. No, the Seattle defense outplayed him. Miller certainly hasn't inspired Buffalo, even when they were potential contenders.

They def turn it up in the playoffs. But this whole we build a team for the playoffs thing gets old. These players shouldnt be so terrible during the regular season. I dont understand how our team cant play good defense and still score goals. Sutter needs to figure something out. Chicago can do both. Why cant we. We got guys capable of scoring. If they get so comfortable being mediocre during the regular season theyre going to end up missing the playoffs by a point or so. They need to get the ball rolling.

Kings have already won a Championship. Now I think they should be aiming for Division titles and Championships. I die a little each time they play a super terrible game against a super terrible team. Cant score goals against some of the worse goalies in the game. I havent been able to finish watching a game in the past 12 games or so. So embarrassing seeing how bad they are. I find it hard to believe that a guy like Sutter cant keep guys going. If he cant. He needs to go. Winning us a title or not. Thats just silly to lose a team so damn fast.

Hardly a troll statement, you could make a case for either of them and I watched every minute of every Canadian game. Both were dominant.

No one can know for sure. However, watching miller stop 35 -45 shots in games behind an uninspired, old and horrific D in Buffalo this year I can say that his Save % being higher than Quicks's behind a stude D TEAM including the D themselves leads me to believe that Miller may have made that one additional stop...maybe. Lastly, Quick was beaten 6 times in the Russian game...thank god for the posts and crossbar in that game...and a guy named Oshie. I did not see the Canadian game to render a decision.
I would agree that Bylsma is the man with the finger pointed at him. Should have done more to shake up the team. Further, I would like to understand his reasoning in deciding on Quick when Miller played the entire season out of his brain. That is what burns the Sabres fans, coles with coming back without a medal ... Question are justified.
