Good luck to Team USA. Not the medal we were hoping they would be playing for, but a bronze would still be pretty awesome. |

Feel Sorry for Quick . The rest of the team is mailing it in . I think they would rather be on a plane home. |

This is what happens when you need Phil Kessel to perform in big games. Zero goals in 2 games. Leaf fans must feel stoked if they make the playoffs. Did he even play? |

Congrats to the Fins. Nice game. |

Shut out 2 games in a row, good thing we kept Bobby Ryan and Yandle off the team.... |

Superstars playing as uncoachable individuals and not as part of a team don't usually win championships. Our game today against Finland is Exhibit A. Russia's last game was Exhibit A'. I am willing to predict that Canada will have a tough time against Sweden tomorrow for the same reason. |

So does this apply to all players on the US roster then? |

And by the way, Garth, my props to you sir for your excellent analysis as always. No disrespect to Jonathan Quick, but Ryan Miller should have played today's game -- he would have been right at home with all the lackluster play in front of the goal today. He probably would have kept it at least close. US coaching should be heavily questioned about their decisions like this one. No medals and a blow out loss in the last game. Wow. |

Ryan Miller wouldn't have stopped any of the goals except maybe the first goal. That maybe was on Quick. It doesn't help when the rest of the team dials it in after the first goal. |

Exactly. Pat Kane gets a pass. Two Cups and a Cup winning goal. Look at last weeks posts when Kessel and JVR were scoring against inferior competition. Leaf trolls were everywhere. The last 2 games are just a look into Leaf playoff future. Just my opinion. |

The Miller-haters have been out in full force. Yeah, he hasnt won a Cup (yet), but he did bring home the silver 4 years ago. Is this all on Quick, obviously not, you cant win if you get shut out in consecutive games, but Miller is no less a goalie than Quick. Theres enough blame to go all around this year, but blame wont bring home the hardware. Even though it will suck to see him leave Buffalo (presumably), he deserves his chance at a Cup, ala Hasek. |

Good Luck to Ryan Miller when he gets traded. It has been a great 11 years, and thank you for the Silver Medal in 2010. |

Those are the efforts Miller deals with every game. And still has better stats than Quick.
Just sayin'. |

Miller is a fine goalie and he will likely fetch the Sabres a nice package at the trade deadline. Goaltending was not the issue for team USA though, it just wasn't. You don't score, you don't win. |

Garth - didn't the Canadians and Americans meet in the semi finals not the quarter finals ? |
