Russia has a higher number of very talented players than Finland. Finland proved that they are the better 'team'. |

One last thought: If the Swedes actually lose to Finland, than in my opinion, the USA/Canada game will basically be the real gold medal game, even if one isn't actually awarded in the semis.
Good boy, can always count on you saying something stupid and/or arrogant. |

Yes, but you will notice I put my name on my opinions. Isn't anonymous name calling the height of arrogance?
Disagree all you want, but if the Fins beat the Swedes (they won't) who ever wins between Canada and the US will be playing an easier game for Gold then they did in the Semis. That is a fact. Ergo, the real Gold Medal game could very well be in the semi finals. |

Its only one, random, game. I don't think they proved that at all. Russia is the better team by a mile. |

"...and prove once and for all that the NHL ice surface is the perfect size."
Ya. You're definitely correct in that assessment. The hockey played on big ice is just mind numbingly boring to watch. Too many "dead zones"...This has been one of, if not the most, boring tournaments that I have ever seen.
I can't wait for next week to get here. Should be one hell of a wrap-up to the season!! |

Did you watch Finland today? They hardly played a passive game. The shots ended up lopsided but that's mostly because Finland was nursing a 2-goal lead in the third. They were full value for that 3-1 lead and played an aggressive, physical game. It's not pretty but you can't blame them for playing to their strengths. Same with the Latvians. It's not fair to criticize their tactics and expect them to open it and lose by 8 goals just so we can be more entertained. This is the nature of a sport that has few power nations. |

You make a fair point. I don't like those tactics and i think there should be a rule about illegal defense or something, but it is what it is and ultimatley I guess you're probably right. |

If people were to tell you their birth name while telling you how arrogant you were, would that change your stance? You call out everyone who disagrees with you a "internet tough guy". But I guess you can be cocky in a reply, because it's the internet...
And you can't claim something to be FACT just because you believe your opinion is right in your own mind...
I hope to God the Swedes upset the rest of the way, just to watch you eat your words.

I hate Justin Beiber, but that doesn't mean it's a fact that he's a bad person.
It's the same thing with your argument. Just because you believe that what you say is true doesn't automatically make it fact. Ergo you're arrogant. |

Except that I said in the article "in my opinion" and in the response "could very well be" Not sure how that comes across as stating my opinion as fact.
One thing that is an indisputable fact: no matter who wins between Canada and the US, IF they have to play Finland in the gold medal game, they will have had a tougher semi final. It is a definite fact that both Canada and the USA have superior teams. That doesn't make me arrogant, that makes me observant. |

You just contradicted yourself so hard it's unbelievable.
You just said "I never said it's a fact" and then later state: "One thing that is an indisputable fact". Just because Canada and the US are better teams doesn't mean that the game will be easier, that's where you slide off course. |

No, you are just misunderstanding me.
My opinion was that the "real" gold medal game will be between Canada and the USA.
The fact is that both those teams are better than Finland.
No contradiction. |
