It looked like the linesmen was the first to notice the net was "displaced". That took guts in my eyes. I don't agree with the rule and in fact they are going to change it the IIHF announced but rules are rules.

Its bad enough for fans to blame pro Refs, I couldn't stand it when parents would blame young Refs. I used to tell them to settle down, they are learning the game just like our kids are. Freaking out over an offside in Atom is ridiculous. Imagine being a 14 year old Ref with a 40 year old goof is screaming at you to get your poop together. It happens a lot, and its no wonder why so many young Refs quit.

What about the bogus tripping call that Tim Peel called On Jagr in the Slovak/Chzecks game. Surprised this terrible ref even got the call to go to Sochi.
