Well now hopefully the Panthers can sink lower in the standings and snatch Ekblad away from the Oilers so I can have a good laugh. |

Honestly can't blame them. I'm not a believer in nhl players going to the Olympics. This is one of the reasons why. |

This.
The hit Kopecky took was brutal. The poor guy had no idea where he was after, and the ref couldn't blow the whistle because of international rules; the other team had the puck. Glad the guy who hit him got suspended.
I didn't see the Barkov hit, but the concern is obviously his knee. Luckily he's young and can rebound quickly. Shut him down for the season.
This definitely sucks but it at least will get expectations where they need to be.. and that is us not making the playoffs. I'd like to see some trades happen and our kids come up. We can expect Shore to be called up. The Rampage are on the verge of a playoff berth so we should be careful in who we call up.
Barkov will be fine, like Huberdeau who got banged up he will need rest. Hopefully no surgery. |

Have you watched him play this year? He is a big reason we even have half of our wins... And plus we can most likely get him resigned on a good cap and length contract.
We could always go after Miller but that's going to be a really ugly contract, and who knows if he even wants to come here. Though there was a rumor he might have most interest, but with us looking like another top 3 pick I doubt he wants to come anymore anyway! |

What would make you happy? If Tallon were replaced today, who would you want as GM?? What would happen if it took that new GM a few years with their own "blueprint", would you want that GM fired as well? Would you keep Horachuk as coach? How about Skrewy and Madden? Shields? Who would you draft? Who would you sign? Who would you trade? How would you make this team a contender?
I ask these questions because I feel Tallon has done the best he can with the resources given to him. We had cheap owners who didn't want to spend money on real players and into this organization. Yes, Tallon spent too much money on Jovo, Upshall, and Versteeg and let Grabner get picked up on waivers for free but those players he signed brought this franchise to the playoffs in more than a decade as well as won us our first SE division title. Tallon did draft Huberdeau, won brought us yet again another first, the Calder trophy.
I agree that it's frustrating to watch my favorite team continually being at the bottom of the league all the while blowing smoke up the fans' asses, but I believe Tallon in co. have until next offseason to see whether or not his blueprint is feasable or crap. Viola and Tallon have a big order to fill this coming draft/free agency to see if they can deliver on this "spending to the cap ceiling" and bring this franchise into the playoffs and eventually a Stanley Cup. If not, then I agree that Tallon should be relieved of his duties and we are stuck in a blackhole that is the Florida Panthers with no sign of being anything in the future. |

Typical south florida fan, one and done and you're satisfied. All coaches got to go along with the entire scouting staff especially Scott Luce. How the hell does he still have a job? |

The panthers say they are loosing 10mil per yr and have asked the county for a 86mil gift. I'm just a dumb Canadian but I do know that any good management team of any business does not put good money into bad. So explain to me why would this new owner do so? Come on all you cpa's talk to me |

New owner in Viola? Why would he buy the team then if he didn't want to invest? |

Satisfied with what? What the phuck am I satisfied with? I don't disagree with you about scouting staff at all. While I am overall pleased with our current draft picks, I do agree that we definately missed the bus on drafting over the past decade. Once again, I agree with you about Luce. If anyone else were this bad at their current job as he is, then they'd be standing on the unemployment line. When it comes to our coaching staff, look at that, I agree once again. I'm tired of coaches with zero NHL experience. We need proven coaches, who knows what it takes to win on an NHL level. Our PP and PK are atrocious and we can blame coaching for that. I'll do one better, I think our training staff needs to be fired!! Too many damn injuries that aren't contact related...i.e..pulled groin. What about Steve Shields?? Why can't we get like a proven hall-of-famer to be our goalie coach?
The reason I ask is because you and Ballardhitshard22 like to come and troll on these boards and bash the team yet you don't give your own opinion on how to fix the team other than moving them to Canada. So I wanted to hear your professional GM experienced opinion on how the Panthers could become contenders.
Typical South Florida fan? You sound like a typical pissed off Canadian who's a fan of a poopty team worse than ours. |
