It was a tough day to watch. Being a CBJ fan and wanting Russia to lose wasn't easy to do.

Bob had no chance on either goal in regulation, and the 3 Jackets on the ice all played well. I just hope that Bob doesn't let the fact Oshie owned him in the shootout get too far into his head. More than likely he won't get another chance to play in the tournament and will have to sit and watch Russia win or lose without him, and that will hurt.

He needs to put this behind him even if doesn't get another game in Sochi; the CBJ's playoff chances rest in his hands.

Why would Bob have to sit out? Its not like every team has a TJ Oshie shootout specialist on their team. Bob looked better than Varlamov did when he played against Slovenia.

It's my guess because Bob lost and Varlamov won.

Varlamov is a great goalie as well, with more wins, a lower goals against average and higher save percentage than Bob in a tougher conference. Varlamov started the first game, so assume he's the #1 Goalie in the coaching staff's view. I hope I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it.

If Varlamiv was the number one then he would of faced the US and not Slovenia

That is possible, but Canada didn't start Louongo in net in Game 1, and now most people believe he gets the net against Finland tomorrow, though Price looked good in game 1. We will know in 12 hours or so.

Varly didn't look good at all against Slovenia which is a much worse team than Team USA. If you ask me it was the Russians who let Bob down. Both his goals allowed were on the PP and two idiot penalties by Radulov who might be scratched for the rest of the olympics.

Varlamov is starting vs Slovakia.
