Julie Robenhymer: Everything Is Relative

The thing is they had a good season start and our position in the standings is not so bad, but right now it's their TREND that is really worrying. Everything from number of goal scored to puck possession time to number of scoring chances to number of shot for/against ratio is trending downward since after (and even during the last 3-4 games of) our early 10 wins streak.

We would not be as worried if the Habs were looking to be improving a bit again after a bad stretch, but for now there is no sign of that, except that one game against Boston.

They are not a stellar team. Their record is due to a good stretch of games early on. They are now starting to dwindle, similar to last season. And We all know what happened to them in the playoffs last year.

"One of the best team defenses in the NHL?" Are you serious? More like "the best goalie in the NHL this season." They are terrible and only getting worse.

Being a Leaf fan naturally I hate the Habs but I'm a hockey fan and my wife is a die hard Habs fan so it's always fun in the house when they play each other! The Habs are actually not that bad of a team. There defence system seems to be pretty sound as they don't seem to allow a pile of shots every game like the Leafs do. You have steller goaltending in Price. All they real need is a couple of decent scorers in the line up and they would be a real pain in the butt to play against. If Galchenyuk (not sure of spelling) gets back after the olympic break and if they could aquire a legit scorer it would make a world of difference. I'm suprised they are not making a pitch for Thomas Vanek, he wouldn't be the saviour but he would definatley be a help. He'll probably be asking for the world & everything in it as far as a contract goes but I think he would fit in well with the team.
