There is no way the sabres arnt missing sekera. The Blue Jackets won their 8th in a row which is annoying, but they beat Philly so I'm just happy it didn't go to ot.

By no means do I have the Canes in the playoffs at this point, but in a far away dreaming kind of way Canes and Jackets 2 & 3 in the Metro (and therefore matched up in 1st round) would be absolutely wonderful.

--2 small market teams best the big boys in year 1.
--We get a chance to FINALLY play an in-division playoff series and hopefully build a bit of the friendly kind of hatred that grows into a rivalry.

I honestly think most Sabres fans dont miss him
Last season he was pretty bad for us but it seems that the change of scenery did him good. If he played like that for us then I might be upset

Gerbe was a player that most people didnt like to see go especially since his buyout was nothing more than reghier making any move he could to make it look like he knew what he was doing. Heart and soul player with offensive talent would have been exactly what Ted Nolan looks for

For me it is the complete opposite.

Sekera was highly underrated by many Sabres fans. Buffalo tried to turn him into a stay at home d-man, like they did with Myers as well. Sekera (suk-er-uh) I dont know when that name change happened???

Gerbe I do not miss.

From what I understand it just came from Chuck Kaiton asking him for the proper pronunciation of his name. One of the little things that makes Chuck great.

Before the season, they had each player tell them how they wanted their name pronounced. The audio clips are located here:
