Is Miller likely to get consistent ice time going forward this season? Is he worth owning in a league that values stats like hits and blocked shots?

Someone is definitely on the move. I have no clue who it could be, but they have too many bodies on the backend. It remains to be seen when the move will happen, most likely near the trade deadline. My guess is prospects and picks for a rental at the deadline, then a body will be moved this summer. Krug will receive a one-way contract this summer too, so that adds 6 defenseman with one-way contracts and Dougie who already has a spot locked up.

McQuaid would be my best guess, but Boychuk would offer a really solid return in a trade

Outside of Seids, Chia's recent d signings have been garbage fires (i.e., Derek Morris, Kaberle, Corvo). I'd stick with the guys they've got if Bart and Boychuk continue to do well as the second pairing. Keep Quaider for depth.

Miller might be stronger than Seids. He tied Z for the most pull ups in Behind the B episode 1.

Off topic, but who do you root for in a Habs-Pens tilt? Arson?

What about Dennis Wideman at a reduced contract if the Flames were to retain a portion of his salary. I get that Wideman at 5.25 million is too much, but what about him at say 3.5 million( it could be as low as 2.625 million). At that price he is somewhat of a steal. Also considering a greatly increasing Salary Cap next season, makes taking a contract that much easier.

Despite his contract size Wideman has played well this season (all things considering that he is on a greatly struggling team) with increased minutes and better than expected defensive play. He has also meshed well on a Bruins team in the past. If I recall he was a good partner with Chara. He also without a doubt improves any powerplay he is on. If anything that has always been an area that Boston has wanted to improve. Even in playoff time their powerplay has struggled.
Krug has been good in that regards, but it seems that Boston doesn't want to rely too much on youth in those roles.

I don't know what to think the return would be, and anything I would hope for would be responded to with how he isn't worth it. But come trade deadline, and once say Pittsburgh makes a move, or Tampa gets a healthy Stamkos back, the Bruins will need to make a move in response to even the playing field. It always makes teams give more. What would they be willing to part with for prospects. Will Malcolm Subban ever have a real spot on this team with Rask, who is possibly the best goalie in the league right now, locked up for a long time? I am not saying a straight up deal, just looking at pieces. What about Anthony Camara?

Just a thought of something that may actually fit their needs going forward.

Well you dont have to think about what type of return you would get for him because they will never (i hope) bring him back. It was a miracle that we got horton and campbell for him. Never liked him when he was here, and on top of that he is overpaid.

Agree. This is the one year Chia needs a defensive defenseman and not a puck mover.

Wideman is the exact opposite of what they need. Think of a defensive minded defensman that can hold down the front of the net and win corner battles, a bonus would be good decision making at the offensive blue line. Offense would be the quality least needed.

Miller is taking over that role well the more he plays but I think they still need another player along those lines. In the playoffs, Krug's minutes will go way down and they will need someone to take up the slack.

O'Reilly would be the perfect Bruin, but no way we move him now, he has proved to be such a threat on the Wing and from reports its seems all the contract drama is in the past and they are going to negoiate a new contract this summer on a clean slate

But if you started giving up Dougie H, I might pick up the phone

Ty, any thoughts on Marc Methot as an acquisition? Tonight he will be benched for the second game in a row, team said he was injured and he said he's fine. I think McQuaid is going to have these nagging injuries all season the way he is going. I know it would mean giving something to the Sens but I don't think they can win it all without adding another defense first Dman.

Sens don't have a 1st round pick in 2014, start with that. I think Caron has some value if......bahahaha, sorry I can't even finish the sentence without laughing.
