I know people want Ladd back but that is too much to me.

Make it another prospect maybe with a second rounder then ok.

Sanity would say you make that deal in a heartbeat. As good as it looks like Teravainen is going to be he will be another pass-first shoot-later skilled player on a team full of skilled players. Ladd is a heart and soul type the Blackhawks roster lacks in abundance.......

That sounds like a little too much.

I'd love to see Ladd back here but Bickell AND TT? I would do it if it was one of the two but not both.

>Interesting that the Hawks perceive the need for Ladd this year -- think they are correct
>TT's stock is the highest it will be before he actually begins NHL play -- if you are going to move him -- now or this summer is the time (assuming TT does not play for the Hawks this year)
>I'll take a proven player over a prospect just about every time

Too much. How about Crawford and a pick for Ladd and a pick?

Love Ladd back on Hawks roster 'multi cup winner". Move two bad contracts Bickel and Crawford get Buff back as well? Very close dollar swap? Toss the 40 year old goalie with the expiring deal at the end of the year too just for salary relief for the cap. Winnipeg can think like the Cubs again.

These are the rough parameters of a deal that I am hearing has been discussed for a while now: Ladd, Jet prospect Jimmy Lodge and a mid round pick for Bryan Bickell, Teravainen and a Hawk first round draft pick (remember, likely to be late in the first round) in 2014 or 2015.

I'd love to have Ladd back. However, given the parameters of this trade still doesn't solve the #2C issue that's been going on since God knows when. Then dealing Teravainen in this deal possibly could keep the hole at #2C open for how much longer? That's if Teravainen could hold down the job at #2C in the first place? Or is the organization thinking that one of Pirri, McNeill or Danault could be the guy who's going to take that job, eventually?

more interested in having a center for Kane than bringing back Ladd and coughing up a good prospect and pick to do so.

If this is the deal, how do you fit Ladd under the cap ceiling?

This deal passes the sniff test. Ladd's and Bickell's salaries almost match. The Hawks likely feel TT is a RW in the NHL. Hossa looked like he was 25 last night, and then there's Kane. Good source on this one.

This is terrible. FROLIK has as many goals as Ladd this year. Lodge is not on the same level as Teuvo. Giving up on Bickell so soon- a young power forward who performs well in the playoffs - AND sending them one of our best prospects PLUS a first round pick?

Pass. Pass. Pass.

Ladd makes 4.4 million, Bickell $4 million, what's the problem?
