Enroth for gagner strait up. I'll throw stafford in too for a pic in return.

That would be an extremely stupid deal for the oil

Wow...Gagner on the block. I'll bet the Oilers will strike it rich trading this underperforming, injury prone, overpaid player. Not

I read the title and immediately thought why the hell do the pens need another center, but then realized he's being moved to RW. This is his chance and the oils chance to show him off and get something good in return. However, I'm not completely sold on Gagner so I'd have to pass. Letang for eberle on the other hand is intriguing

I have to admit I don't get to see the Oil too many times a season so I'm not sure how Gagner would work out on the wing or what type of player he actually is. But If Nisk is the center piece which he has been probably our most consistent defensive player I'd listen. Problem here is Nisk is an FA at the end of the season so it would depend on the +.

But if Edmonton ever calls and mentions Eberle for Letang I'd jump all over that.

Did Edmonton Trade their first round pick in 2014? Cause I'm thinking I'd rather keep my 2015 than my 2014 first rounder.

I would do our 1st pick in June and Gagner for Letang. Not my favorite Defenseman, but mos def would be our best by a country mile. That's some pretty good pieces for Pittsburgh, who have the luxury of slowly developing that pick into a great player without having to Rush him in. Not sure if anyone is ready to step into the void Letang leaves though.

Yea but would Eberle have chemistry with Kunitz?

I think Hemsky would be a good fit in Pittsburg. I have no problem believing he could fit with malkin or Crosby and put up good numbers, Hemsky kinda deserves to be on a winning team after the loyalty he showed us. And shero did overpay for a rental last deadline (Murray)

And then shero laughs at you and hangs up the phone. So Gagner (an unproven forward), plus a 1st (unproven prospect) for Letang... Letang may have had his ups and downs, but he's still a top 10 defenseman in the league

We wouldn't be able to replace his production with 1 player. It would come by way of a few defenseman and the forward we would be adding plus additional salary cap relief

2 2nd's and he got one back from them by sending Kennedy to them. So in the end it was a 2nd and TK for Murray. We had no intentions of resigning TK

Matt Henderson: Gagner Talk Heats Up, Is Pittsburgh A Good Fit?
- Matt_Henderson

Gagner in 8 games since getting the cage off:

- has 1G 4A (1G 3A at ES).
- 48.0% in the Faceoff circle (5 games over 50%).
- is a -1 on a team that is +1 at ES during that span.
- Played about 15:45 ES and 18:48 per game.

Yes, and shero as well as every pens fan will tell you it was a mistake. Shero has already stated he has no interest in any rentals. Hemsky would only add on to the injury list. Also who would you demote to the 3rd line? Dupuis?

He's still not even close to a top 6 player on the pens

As a Pens fan, I really know nothing of Gagner. Letang for Eberle, yeah I'd buy that. I don't see Letang moving for anything else, and I don't see Maata moving.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hemsky though, he's a UFA and would fit well with Sid. I think Nisk is a decent D man and has played well during his tenure.

The first is about 86% (I'm not making this up: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHLlottery.html) likely to be a top 3 pick you know.

Food for thought.
