I think the more pressing issue about the arena is: How the hell do we move it 20 miles east of its present location. At least then there would be, dare I say, easier access to East Valley fans But that's a topic for another time.

Smith is an overrated soft goalie.He has had 1 great year in 2012 and the rest were crap.Greiss has by far outplayed Smith and should be the starter.Smith is soft for a big goalie and to go along with that he let's in a lot of soft goals.Dumb move by the Yotes to sign him to a long term contract based off one good year.They actually made a few more bad signings by locking up Lauri Korpokoski and Kyle Chipchura two players who don't do much on the ice to deserve their contracts.I'm 50/50 on Ribeiro A very unselfish player but probably a bad signing for him because the coyotes best offensive players are on defense.He is probably missing Ovechkin a little bit.I also think the Schlemko signing last year was dumb too.He is a soft defensive player who is horrible on defense looks lost at times and should never get power play time.Basically the Coyotes have three grind lines and one scoring line and I'm sorry you will not win with that combination. Their need for a scoring left wing gets exposed more and more each game.Stop all this "trade Yandle talk " to get a left winger.No you trade some of your young defenseman otherwise you are just creating another whole as I do believe Yandle is an elite defenseman with his skill set.Oh their penalty kill is atrocious at 78.4% good for 26th in the NHL.So just my two cents on the Yotes so far and this team won't compete with the Black Hawks,Ducks,Blues,Sharks,and the Kings in the playoffs if they even make it.I'm sorry but you wont go to far in the playoffs with guys like Halpern,Bissonette,Swarz,Korpokoski,Brown,Brule(retired now),Schlemko,Lessio,Yip,and to a certain extent Klinkhammer before his power play goal last night he hasn't scored in 9 games but he missed for open nets in that span not because of the goalie but because of his horrible shot.So the Yotes definitely need to make some moves to improve their scoring and to contend for the cup.I also think Smith needs a reality check like a benching to light a fire under his sorry ass but if that were to happen Greiss would play to good to return him to backup again.
