Secondly, I wouldn't assume the two points are already in the bag. The Sabres are 6-0-1 in their last 7 at home and have been playing a relentless style under Nolan.

And finally, the game might not even get played tonight. If you haven't noticed, we are in a state of emergency here in WNY; lake-effect snow, wind chill of -30 on average and driving bans all over the area.

Glad to see a change of scenery panned out well for Sakera and Gerbe. Like them both, and Gerg's was the only one in the league to constantly take runs at Charra...I think he did it just to piss Charra off...and it usually worked! Problem with Gerbe when he was here is that he couldn"t finish on the rare occassion he produced a scoring opportunity. Maybe the coaching staff stiffled his play.

But that said, Sabres are going to put a hurting on Cane's...we still don't like that team and the fans were abonoxious back in the playoffs...so I'm thinking Sabres come out and give the Canes a solid game.

I didn't get the sense that the author assumes the 2 pts. are in the bag, simply that Carolina is the better of the two teams on paper and that if they don't take the Sabres for granted they should win....as a Sabres fan i can agree with that, hope it doesn't happen but accurate.

Were actually not in bad shape. They cancelled everything and even most of the private enterprises weren't as hard headed as they usually are and most closed. So no one is on the roads, almost no one is stranded and were all home safe and warm.
