I hope he doesn't change his current style of play, he's looked good lately. Better than that crap we've been witnessing in the past...

They just announced a state of emergency has just been issued for all of Erie county. No unnecessary travel allowed. So enjoy your day off everyone. |

My takeaway:
I don't mind that Myers hit Zubrus with oomph and authority. Thats how he should be playing all the time. He's 6'8 for crying out loud. Its not like he low-bridged an opponent and caused an injury. Chris Pronger never apologized for the way that he played and the way that he finished checks on opponents. I like that Myers is getting a reputation around the NHL. I'd rather he be branded a guy who hits high rather than a guy that doesn't hit at all. Opponents should think twice before taking a Sunday stroll down the wall on Myers' half of the ice, with puck on stick. They are liable to get cranked by the more confident, more aggressive Myers. Hell, he may even throw his gloves down and fight an opponent again like he did with Patrice Bergeron on 12/21..
you are such a hypocrite, everyone who has a dirty hit around the league is the scum of the earth but its ok if your guy does it. Also, what the hell is this reputation you are talking about? Bergeron dropped the gloves with him for crying out loud, and he didn't even make bergeron regret it |

Serious question. Been bothering me on sports broadcasts for years:
Is "aggressiveness" just a dumb guy's way of saying "aggression"? - Der Kaiser
No, because aggression is more or less an emotion where as aggressiveness is more like a physical trait |

Even though it sounds like you're another whining Bruins fan, you do have a valid point. Garf calls out everyone with a head hit, to varying degrees mind you. But. He's typically more up in arms with the intentional head shots...ones that result in 5 games or so. Usually when it's unintentional, yes, he's a little harder on guys on other teams..but he was equally hard on Kaleta at the beginning of this year for a bad hit. You know, everyone knows Garth is a fanboy but it doesn't help chastising players for unintentional hits. |

Buffalo Sabres fans will be surprised to see that Ville Leino's name is not listed on the r[o]ster.

From dictionary.com:
ness
a native English suffix attached to adjectives and participles, forming abstract nouns denoting quality and state (and often, by extension, something exemplifying a quality or state): darkness; goodness; kindness; obligingness; preparedness.
So, aggressivesness is a state of being aggressive. That being said, I don't think "aggressiveness" is a real word, and since it (to me) would have the same meaning as "aggression", I would say yes to your question. |
