Thank you I was hoping to do right by the Islanders fans as well. Always get questions about Nino and there are so many ties between MN and the Long Island Squad!

Well if anyone wondered how much defensive help Parise brings to this team, wonder no more. In light of the offensive play with Parise out I think it also begs the question of should he play on the 2nd line with Pommer and Granlund when he comes back? I think the new look first line of Nino, Koivu and Coyle is exactly the combination the Wild need. Size up front seems like the way to go and personally I think Parise would fit in much better on that second line.

I think those three are more complimentary of each other than some of the other combinations we've seen. It could also give them easier defensive pairings to go up against since I think teams would have to send out their defensive best against a Parise-Granlund-Pominville line.

But Coyle needs to start adding a go to the net move to his wall play. He's good at keeping possession along the boards, but I don't think he ever gets to the net from the boards with the puck. All three of those guys should be wreaking havoc in front of the net and should be a handful coming off the wall. They're not.

Has anyone read Russo and the new lines he's reporting?

Heatley Koivu Pominville
NiƱo Granlund Zucker
Cooke Coyle Fontaine
Veilleux Brodziak Mitchell

How the hell does Heatley get top line?!!! And Zucker who apparently has not been good enough to keep up for more than a game every few weeks gets bumped immediately to the 2nd?!!! Fontaine has not been great, but he's tied for 5th in the league in rookie scoring with 8 goals and has played the entire season with the big club and he gets passed by for a guy who has zero points in 7 games??? Not to mention he's been Yeos whipping boy! What does that say about the competence or mind set of our fearless leader?

The only one of these moves that even remotely makes sense is busting Brodziak down to the 4th line. The rest are foolish posturing apparently trying to once again send a message to the ONLY players being held accountable by wonder coach Mike Yeo!

It amazes me what a tough guy Richard Yeo is to the young guys but what a nutless skirt wearing Sally he is with the veterans.
