i get the point of your article, you don't want to watch the weaker teams get blown out by the elite teams. One point that needs to be addressed is the relegation changed at the ufa tournament the lowest team drops to the lower pool ( Div 1, group A) and the team that wins that tournament gets promoted to the top tier the following year.

With TSN losing the NHL rights i would not be surprised to see Div I A then Div I B televised in the next few years. Seeing these developing hockey nations compete on a more level playing field might be enjoyable, hockey powers like Denmark, Belarus, Austria, Slovenia, France, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Italy, Poland, Croatia Ukraine then who know if the ratings are better than D-list celebrity poker or darts we may also get to see Div II or III.

i know i would wake up at 3:30am to watch Iceland play they seemed like an up and coming power if i am to believe the mighty ducks 2.

Are you watching this Slovakia/Germany game, Frenchie?

Draisatl looked invisible at first, but I've been really impressed with how well he passes for a big guy.

Question: Why not just take a few countries and team them up to make better teams? Kazakhstan will never be able to ice a team to compete with Canada, but if you took the best two or three players from the dud countries you'd have a better tournament, wouldn't you>

I said the same thing about the Canadian defense yesterday. Was not a comforting group. Hopefully it's only Unfamiliarly. Ekblad also made some great plays and some "huh" plays.

Really liked mcdavid and eichel.

I wish the Russian game was on, was interested in seeing sleppy and yakimov.

The handling of the bottom tier teams is a freaking joke. They should get at least 2 years with the big boys before getting relegated. Actually let the players have a bit of time against the top guys before being sent back to beat up on Italy and Japan and Madagascar or whoever.

The other issues is, or at least when I've bothered checking which is rare, is that the teams that win their way up usually have the guys that were key to that graduate by the time they are in the big boy tournament.

(frank)ing International hockey management is such a joke
