I know MDZ has been talked about a lot, but Colorado, and a lot of other teams would be interested in Girardi as well. You'd think he'd be much easier to acquire being a UFA. |

Anyone who thought Ference would be a top pairing guy is sadly mistaken , however the Oilers still need to add better D men than they have , and MDZ would be an improvement on most of their D. I watched them against the Canucks the other night and their defensemen , of course with little help from the forwards , were downright terrible , really the worst I can remember seeing in many years. If this group were kept together for the next 10 years there still would be no playoffs for the Oilers. And anyone that would suggest in keeping or resigning Hemmer must really enjoy the current state of the Oilers as he is part of the problem , not the solution. |
