Sabres should pick him up. At the very least he'll be an upgrade over D'agastini… |

The core problem is not the first line. Its the fact that Buffalo has no secondary scoring. They have only what 4 top 6 guys not 6 true top 6 forwards.
Here are the 4 players that are top 6 forwards. Maybe not Top line players but all 4 can be top 6s on other times.
Moulson
Ennis
Hodgson
Stafford
Can in time become top 6s however they are nowhere near top 6 right now.
Girgensons
Adam
Foligno
Buffalo has a lack of offensive minded players that can produce at the NHL level. They do have some Scoring talent in the pipe, but its not ready yet.
Also the lines lack chemistry right now and it takes time to develop chemistry. |

How can Neal not be considered a repeat offender with 2 prior suspensions and a prior fine. He got of easy when he got only 1 game for head shots against Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux on the same shift.
Not to mention the hit on Derek Dorsett which he got 2 games for
Here's another where he leaps into to head of pietrangelo

Not me saying it . That is why they could not give him more. Over 18 months since last infraction.

Well if Neal only gets 5 games...perhaps Thorton won't get that many either... |

I love watching Neal, but him getting 5 games was another example of star player treatment...The NHL cant keep doing this, they did the same thing will Kessel making him "suffer" by skipping 2 preseason games. While i dont think John scott should be in the NHL, he is and his hit was no worse then neal and thortan yet he gets 10 games without being a repeat offender...every player should get equal treatment. |

Im not sure any of those guys are more than wingers on the second line...but Coho will be a good #2 center after we get our #1 in the draft (McDavid???). Armia will be top line or at least second line. Hopefully grigo can be saved. Moulson is top 6 but he will most likely be moved at the deadline. We have 3 high first rounders (2 top 3) so far in too years to get our top line players.
Ond defense, I think were pretty set for the future. Zadorov, Risto, Mccabe, pysyk, Myers, Ehrhoff, mcnabb, Ruhwedel...
