Will be an emotional game for Iggy I'm sure. But the Bruins better not take this team lightly. From what I have seen the Flames do not quit.

After Saku Koivu second visit to Montreal in October, after Daniel Alfredsson comeback to the nation capital in November, finally Jerome Iginla is making his return to the city where it all started for him; Calgary, Alberta. This will be a great night.

We are Canadians! We may not be very good at swimming with dauphins but we sure know our hockey and the people that master the game.

Welcome home Iggy!!!

its gotta feel weird for him in the wrong locker room and all, but once the game starts, I doubt he'll be distracted by it all.

no gonna have much injury sympathy from Boston though,
Loui Eriksson (concussion), Chris Kelly (broken leg), Boychuk (back) and Adam McQuaid (lower body), Hamilton, (Lower Body), and throw in that Thortons self made problems, That's a lot of AHL roster callups....

They've gotten three wins in the last 4 where they have been badly outplayed. This team still has a long ways to go. Even with these lucky wins they will finish the season bottom 3 in the league. Goaltending stole the game for them Saturday.

Gotta disagree with you, it looks like they are figuring out a defensive game (something the Oil need to do). They are "practicing" keeping pucks out of the middle (slot) and it is paying off. If you watch the last 4 games you will notice most passes (by other team) to the slot (or through) are now being intercepted by our guys.

Hmm, sounds like someone is still a bit sour about the loss on Saturday.

Whole lotta AHL playing this week, lilely see Joe Morrow called up if Boychuck cant go. Miller, Morrow, Spooner @ Fraser all AHLers playing.... But at least they ahve looked good, i'd rather them all play than Caron...

Oil reminded me of the flames the last 5 years ... Can outplay a team but not enough skill to finish

I kid I kid

Let be honest the flames outplayed the oil much worse in Calgary and if not for some shaking goaltending the flames win ... So if Berra plays a solid game and you lose it's fair to me .... Although I will say that he didn't have to be great ... Flames seemed to play randy Carlyle hockey there without giving up the 40 shots ... Maybe he should make the leafs watch the flames video

Only time the oil were really dangerous was on the pp and even then the flames pk / Berra seemed to know what to do

Hopefully the next time these teams play we can see healthy lineup for both

According to PJ Stock they are in year 5...(he tore the Oilers a new ahole after that game ) and I think we can all agree PJ's word final

Edit: Also I heard that Smith is on waivers, if that interests anyone?

Badly outplayed? The Kings game may have been taken out of the leafs playbook (good goaltending & capitalized on our chances), but we played extremely well against Phoenix and deserved that win. Take away a few mental mistakes from the Avs game and we could have won that one too. The oilers game was fairly even, both teams had there chances, though I wouldn't say Berra "stole" that game. Maybe if the Oilers could play a full 60 minute game at both ends of the ice they could win some games.

You guys should all seriously watch this video. BEST Jarome Iginla tribute made. Makes me miss the way the flames played, and makes me even more anxious for the future to hopefully be as bright as it was during the Iginla era.

So my 8 year old kid at the time liked the Flames from their playoff run & loss to Tampa in the finals - I bring him to a Flames game in Jersey sporting his new Iginla jersey - Iginla comes off the ice after warmups and asks my kid if he has a pen- my kid can barely shake his head no. So Iggy puts his stick & gloves down and says hold on for a sec, while he goes to the locker room to get a pen, comes back to sign his hat and jersey & gives him a handshake & wishes him luck in his squirt hockey career - from what I understand this is par for the course for #12 - Here's hoping for a great night!
