Love the South least comment when they won 2 cups in three years. The west doesn't seem so strong coming east just like when we went west. Anaheim didn't have a strong east road trip and San Jose isn't either. It's more like the dominance is at home. And the west has a helluva a lot more loser points. |

'04 and '06? That was a long time ago. The Southeast was an absolute joke for the past couple years.
The West is much stronger than the East right now. The competition is tougher. I don't think you'll find too many people who would disagree. |

Because wouldn't be nice.
The game blog is good as usual . My issue is your one sidedness on the Erne hit. I don't disagree with the fact that Erne perhaps should have let up a little and bumped him instead or crushing him, but the fact that Drouin should know better then to put himseld in such a dangerous position. |

Then most eastern teams? Yes. Us against west? We are holding our own. |

Onesidedness? What did I say there? I said that he hit him in the numbers, which he did. I didn't take a personal stance, other than to say that his comments afterwards are concerning.
And, yes, Drouin should know better. I still don't think that excuses the action. - Michael_Stuart
I didn't find his comments a concern. He expressed an opinion on a opposing player. |

Yes, sir. We've done well against the West, other than that one trip. |

When a guy leaves with concussion-like symptoms, calling dive probably isn't the smartest thing to do. All he had to say was "I didn't intend to hurt him. I hope he's alright." It's that simple. End of story. He did the exact opposite. |

Look at the ROW numbers and games played. Yes the west holds the best record vs. the east but look at home and away. The West had alot of games at home early and dominated not as much lately. So 2 cups in the last ten years a long time ago well let's see who else had two. The Ducks and Kings and Chicago two and the wings one. Northwest 0 West 2 Central 3 Northeast 1 Atlantic 1 Southeast 2 maybe it's the North leasts |

I think you're reaching. The Southeast Division was a brutal division over the course of the last couple years. There's no real argument to have. 8-10 years ago there was success in the SE, but those days are long gone. The Northwest was once considered the toughest division in hockey (about 10 years ago), but for the last few years it was the Canucks and everybody else. Things change. The Southeast was brutal for a long while. |

No doubt but we also went to the Conference finals in 11. Washington was more than competitive the last few years just like the Canucks but couldn't finish either. It's all about Cups not Presidents Cups. Last ten years WEST 5 EAST 4 lockout 1 and 3 of the 4 East Cups against Northwest. All seven game finals. I know youre a Westie but the facts are facts no one remembers anything but Cup Winners. |

Argueing no. Difference of an opinion or perspective that's all. I know our old division wasn't the best for a few years but I don't discount some of the results. Also all of the old hockey doesn't belong in the south gets tiring listening to it all these years. Looking at our attendance and all of the youth at our games is amazing in just a few short years. You won't be able to get tickets as easily in a few more years as the growth of the product in our area is great to see plus as the next generation starts becoming season ticket holders we may start seeing less and less snowbirds who root for other teams in the stands. |

Must suck when your # 2 pick gives your #1 pick a concussion and gets tossed . Can't say I have ever seen that happen to any franchise ! |

I didn't really have an opinion on the hit those hits happen a lot but his comments afterwards are just retarded .. Like Michael said Dont be a souche just say you didn't mean to hurt him even if you did mean to .. I can't imagine Erne will be on the receiving end of the puck too much if ever on drouins line, which sucks for him because drouin dictates a whole game to how he wants it |

yeah I know they are opponents now, but knowing that is your future teammate in the league that everybody in the world wants to play in (except Ilya Kovalchuk) is just baffling to me. Then the comments are even worse. I really liked Erne throughout camp and preseason, but this incident bothers me a little. |

Let up a bit ? dude did you watch the hit ? I can only imagine your reaction had it been Stamkos who was drilled from behind. Just a completely gutless play and how did he not know someone was going to jump him ? He is clearly a stupid kid. - blizzzard
I did see the hit and I'd be the same way I am now. I mad at the hit and and that Drouin was stupid enough to put himself onto such a dangerous position. EVERY PLAYER needs to be responsible out there. |
|
|
|
How are you still on this? Boarding is (frank)ing illegal, meaning players do not expect to get hit when in that position. What the (frank). - Blackstrom2
If Drouin wasn't facing the boards would have it been a penalty OR an issue?
Both Erne and Drouin made poor choices. Tell me, when you where 18 was EVERY decision you made a good one? |
|
|
|
@BoltProspects Think it should have been a minor penalty.
Drouin's teammate escalated situation because it was Drouin it's that simple
