Matt Karash: Game #29: Canes ride Jeff Skinner surge to another win

Whenever Skinner is in the lineup the Canes score more goals. It doesn't even matter if he gets on the score sheet, they just score more goals. Opposing defenses need to be aware of him so it opens up the ice for other skaters. When he was out the Canes went through a stretch where they couldn't score more than two a game. Since he's been back they have routinely scored four and five goals.

He is skating and practicing by himself but not with the team yet and reported to be feeling better. What that means for timeframe with a concussion is usually wild speculation until the team says he is playing tonight.
