Honestly, I think Gio is back sooner than we all think. That said, Butler hasnt been playing too bad to be honest and I think they can hold off on doing anything crazy unless an offer is presented to them which just makes too much sense to pass up. I think its the forward group that has a trade come about before the defense will actually.

What about Bryz?

Feaster said in an interview that they were hopefull that Gio would be ready to go in a week or so....hopefully they can hold on until then so they don't have to make a trade that won't benefit us long term.

Tough break for Monahan. My pick for the Calder thus far. Calgary has a bright future with this kid leading the way. In Calgary there's no question who the future leader will be. In Edmonton all of the prima donnas think they'll be that guy. They should trade everyone except for Hall and build a team that can win now. Bye bye to eberle, yakupov, nuge and shultz and hello to at least 7 nhlers who can play and help this team win. Too many cooks in the kitchen in Edmonton. Calgary will turn it around faster than the Oil at this rate.

There is absolutely no reason to make a panic trade at this point. Like others have said bring up Seiloff or Wotherspoon. If they brought in Liles and didn't get an asset that would go against everything Feaster/Burke have said. Now have other GM's ever lied before...
