Wonderfully entertaining game. Boy it didn't take long for Torts to make the Canucks a Torts team. They collapse the middle of the ice and can't score to save their lives.

Nice to see Krugs having some better games. He's improved at the dot, but has had some swoons in his play. Here's hoping it stays up.

Rosizival didn't play the third period. Did anyone catch an injury update?

Look at JJ compliment Corey Crawford. Now I've read everything....

I know some were surprised to see Bollig out there with the game on the line but I liked Q having the confidence in him to give him a chance with the game on the line. It's a long season and the more you can use the whole line up the better. The last thing I'd want to see is Q burn out the top six especially in a Olympic year and then those players have nothing left in the tank. Bollig killed penalties in Rockford so I think he can make more of a contribution than just being the resident tough guy on the team playing John Scott minutes.

Well done, CC bounced back nicely from a few questionable performances. Don't forget that was the 2nd game on HNIC (after WASH - TOR) and all of Canada was watching, so there was lots of motivation for all the players from the Great White North.

It looks like Sharp has really turned up his game. Much more forceful all over the ice. He's stated he wants to go to Sochi, and based on his performance, I'd think he has a realistic shot.

Now time to go get the next 4 points against EDM and CALG.

It would be nice if this were the start of a trend of giving up 2 or less goals against per game. What are the chances?

That was some good hockey to watch last night

That doesn't happen a lot now a days in the NHL. Duncan Keith had a great game, he'll win another Norris if he continues to play like that!

The Hawks are so used to being able to out skate anybody that they have serious problems with the two teams (Edmonton and Colorado) who can keep up with them.

Am I the only person thrown off by the Circus trip changing this year? I keep thinking, OK, Vancouver done, San Jose next.

100% Agree. For whatever reason that team gives us fits. I wouldn't necessarily bank 2 points in Calgary either with the way they play hard. Next two will be tough games regardless of records. I hope Raanta gets the nod Monday.

Hockey is a team game. You cannot overuse your top players at the expense of a reserve on a consistent game - by game basis without putting tired legs out on the ice late in the season! Coach Q is a proven winner but this does not mean that he makes a mistake in judgment in the case of Morin.

By now Q has Morin's attention: in the threads here it misreported, that Morin even went to his captain and asked what he has to do to get Q's attention and henceforth more playing time.

Here we have a proven offensive player and a player willing to compete for the puck in the checking and board battles. Yes, Morin has nothing more to prove in the AHL. Even in his brief NHL moments Morin has shown the smarts and ability to suggest he could produce some points at the NHL level. And now Morin has the Pirri example as a great motivator!

Pirri set an example by showing the reward for doing - or at least attempting - to do things Q wants to see in his game. So play Morin more, see if he responds, Q. What is your excuse not to do so, coach Q? Let someone make a big stink and call you out, Q; we need to hear your explanation.

As paying fans we deserve an answer. Someone in media, please ask Q! We have something of potential value ready to take the next step, but Q chooses to let Morin waste away.

I could understand Q reluctance with players who have shown weakness in their game, or are needing experience. But now it is Morin's time. While you are having perhaps a"Miller" (beer) time relaxing on a day off, coach Q, consider anew more "Morin time."

Calgary plays harder then any team I've seen in a long time. They have piss poor goaltending and zero offense, yet compete nightly. And look to have found a gem of a franchise cornerstone in Monahan.

Tanev was pretty great last night. Thought other then both goalies that he, Keith and Kesler were by far the 3 best players on the ice.

Nice clip of Vik on the NHL network playing Pizza Man and coughing the puck up while trying to stick handle through 2 Rangers in neutral ice. Brutal

Agreed, but with fewer in conference games this year we don't play the west coast teams as often, so I guess this is the new normal for the circus trip.

I grew up in Southern Cal and have lived in Chicago for over 30 years. I have never encountered a more declawed media than that covering the Hawks. It's one of the reasons I looked around and found this site.

Well basically yes. Given his rap sheet, another play like that probably gets him a Cooke/Torres/kaleta suspension
